500-Series SpectroDensitometer

500-Series SpectroDensitometer

500 Series spectrodensitometers measure density, color and spectral data. They are available with a variety of aperture size options, and some models also have the capacity to store information on color standards and formulas. Configurable for left- or right-handed operation, they feature full menu commands in multiple languages.

504 SpectroDensitometer

What could be simpler? Our entry-level model 504 measures any density status quickly and reliably.

  • Large display shows choice of single, 3-color or 4-color density values
  • Density references to store shop or customer specs & see if density changes are needed
  • Features high-impact materials for reliability and an industry-leading 3 year warranty
  • Upgrade via keycode to add dot area, trap, color or spectral data
  • Only X-Rite lets you select a measurement aperture - microspot 1.6 x 3.2mm, small 2.0mm, medium 3.4mm or large 6.0mm

508 SpectroDensitometer

Our basic 508 densitometer is great for prepress and the press room - it accurately measures density, dot area and dot gain in a single instrument.

  • Keep proofing and press runs consistent by impartially evaluating print quality
  • Critical density and dot area evaluation of ink levels and ink-water balance on press
  • Document density data to quantify press approvals and ensure multi-part jobs or customer reprints are up to color
  • Set references for dot gain and density to ensure customer and internal color requirements are met
  • Only X-Rite lets you select a measurement aperture - microspot 1.6 x 3.2mm, small 2.0mm, medium 3.4mm or large 6.0mm

518 SpectroDensitometer - DISCONTINUED

Our standard pressroom densitometer is essential for 4-color press operators. Use it to help determine which press adjustments need to be made during the run.

  • Trap feature helps quickly determine whether on-press color shifts may be due to ink rotation or tack using
  • Check for ink consistency through the run with hue-error and grayness features - evaluate the extent of color contamination or dirtiness
  • Establish optimum density levels and objectively assess shadow detail with industry-standard print contrast feature
  • Quickly and easily measure any color bar - the built-in EFS function selects the proper feature (density, dot, trap, print contrast) based on the patch you measure
  • Upgrade using a keycode to add new features like color or spectral data
  • Only X-Rite lets you select a measurement aperture - microspot 1.6 x 3.2mm, small 2.0mm, medium 3.4mm or large 6.0mm

520 SpectroDensitometer - DISCONTINUED

With the growing adoption of color management, the 520 is the perfect, versatile solution for evaluating cms performance and for assessing proof to print matching.

  • Only industry densitometer to also offer L*a*b*
  • Evaluate proofing and press materials to new international standards for color matching
  • Measure density and dot to ensure basic reproduction metrics are in line
  • Store color references for quick evaluations of color difference from proofing or press targets
  • Upgrade to the 528 to add more color and density capabilities
  • Only X-Rite lets you select a measurement aperture - microspot 1.6 x 3.2mm, small 2.0mm, medium 3.4mm or large 6.0mm

528 SpectroDensitometer - DISCONTINUED

For printers who print special colors and process color, the 528 is the basic model of choice. It has a full selection of densitometry capability plus several essential color features.

  • Evaluate whether your special colors, densities, dot gains and other critical measures meet pre-established targets
  • What PANTONE® color is that? Match feature looks up the closest color in a swatch book you specify
  • Get pre-set ink formulas for stored color libraries, or create and download your own using the included ColorMail Express software (for Windows)
  • Establish or verify color management profiles using the color features; supported by many CMS packages
  • Upgrade to add spectral data by using a simple keycode
  • Only X-Rite lets you select a measurement aperture - microspot 1.6 x 3.2mm, small 2.0mm, medium 3.4mm or large 6.0mm

530 SpectroDensitometer - DISCONTINUED

The 530 offers full spectral data, colorimetry or densitometry, all from a single, rugged instrument.

  • With optional microspot, this hand-held measures color targets as narrow as 1.6mm while most spectrophotometers measure a 4.0mm spot size
  • Provides precise color and paper analysis on a large graphic display
  • Has all 500-Series functions, including density, dot area, trap, print contrast, hue error grayness, color, match, paper functions and compare
  • Connect with X-RiteColor Master software (optional) to keep record of color measurements or generate accurate formulas for special ink colors
  • Security features lock preferences including the enabled features, color and density references, and calibration procedure
