In today's digital workflow, client, pre-press house and printer can be in the same city, or on different continents so it's vital to be able to guarantee that everyone is looking at the same color.

EFIColorproof XF color Verifier is a simple-to-use quality assurance solution that measures and compares color values from proof-to-proof, print-to-print, proof-to-profile, or print-to-reference. With EFI Colorproof XF color Verifier you can ensure consistency between a reference print and subsequent prints; check that your proofs match your prints; or check that your proofs comply with a key standard such as ISO 12647.

EFI colorProof XF color Verifier comprises a spectrophotometer (for measurement) (aslo sold with out the spectrophotometer), software (for comparison) and a color control strip displaying industry-standard color values. It works by comparing two sets of color values, which can be from a control strip (printed on a proof or a print), or from a reference profile like ISO 12647, SWOP or Sicogif).

The software analyses the data and displays it in three columns, showing the target values (the reference), the actual values (sample), and the difference between the two columns displayed in third column. A graphical display either 2D or 3D - shows the color space and location of deviations. You can set acceptable tolerances for single values and for the average of all the values.
