LinkProfiler is a profiling software that allows the creation of sophisticated and accurate ICC DeviceLink profiles. When a CMYK file is color managed using ICC profiles important information about the source file contents can be lost. For example, CMYK color elements like text, color tints, vector graphics etc are converted to four-color CMYK at output. This can cause undesirable artifacts on the proof such as grainy and dirty colors or incorrect dot structure and printability problems on the press.
In this scenario, black text or line art converted to CMYK will be difficult to register, they will likely have unsharp borders and will require more ink to print.
LinkProfiler Publish edition results in improved digital proof color and visual matching, accurate press-to-press color match, optimal output black generation and TAC (total area coverage) for the destination printing press. Other benefits include preservation of CMYK, CM, CY or MY color purity with dot gain compensation, plus preservation of achromatics, CMY colors under solid black and of solid and registration marks.
LinkProfiler Print edition offers all the above as well as custom GCR and maximum black option for high ink savings.
