Fujifilm Introduces ColourKit Profiler Suite 4.0 for Comprehensive Color Management

Source: Press release issued by the company, unless otherwise noted.

PMA 2004 Booth #E10 LAS VEGAS--Feb. 10, 2004-- Fuji Photo Film U.S.A. Inc., a pioneering leader in digital imaging products and services, today introduces ColourKit Profiler Suite v4.0 color profiling software. Continuing Fujifilm (Stock Price   Web Site  Related Articles  Google)'s tradition of providing true color excellence, ColourKit's full-featured host of color management applications allows photographers, graphic artists, and creative professionals to accurately display digital images on a monitor and precisely translate them when printed. Fujifilm's imaging products and services have long been the top choice of professional photographers and ColourKit Profiler Suite v4.0 follows in this tradition. The new color management software allows users to make, edit and process color profiles, delivering quality and consistency to the professional. As the final image is incredibly accurate, ColourKit cuts costs by reducing waste and increases overall workflow efficiencies by saving professionals' time. "Fujifilm has the pulse on the professional photographer community and we developed ColourKit Profiler Suite v4.0 to meet the specific challenges professional photographers are facing in this new digital imaging world," said Thomas Curley, Director of Marketing, Photo Imaging Division, Fuji Photo Film U.S.A., Inc. "As more professional photographers go "digital," Fujifilm remains committed to identifying their needs and delivering greater business value with new products and services, like ColourKit." ColourKit Profiler Suite v4.0 is the first color profiling software to be developed in accordance with the new version 4 ICC specifications - allowing professionals to use with input and output devices and to edit profiles that have already been created. The ICC profiling software is available in several modules that can be purchased as a suite or individually as a customer's needs expand. The full suite includes the profile-making and profile-editing modules for the monitor, camera and scanner as well as for RGB and CMYK output. An image processor and image editor can also be purchased separately. ColourKit v4.0 features a user-friendly, "wizard-based" interface to walk both novice and expert users through the profile-making process. Advanced users are given additional options to improve and verify profile quality. A common interface and application switcher allows users to quickly move between the modules. Additionally, ColourKit v4.0 has one of the most extensive sets of profile editing tools available, tools that allow comprehensive editing of both input and output profiles as well as editing of both RGB and CMYK image types. Many of the editor tools have legacy technology that has evolved from the company's extensive experience with early drum scanners, including some of the most advanced unsharp masking techniques available. Fujifilm's ColourKit v4.0 is compatible with Macintosh OSX and Windows 2000/XP and features support for the EyeOne spectrophotometer and improved support for inkjet profiles. For more information on ColourKit v4.0 or to download a free 14-day, fully functional demo visit the official ColourKit website at www.colorprofiling.com.
