ColorChecker Passport is Here

Check out the latest edition of the X-Rite's ColorChecker. ColorChecker Passport includes both stand-alone software and an Adobe Lightroom plug-in that builds and applies a custom DNG camera profiles on-the-fly. Apply these custom profiles to all of the your RAW images when developing them in Adobe Lightroom and the Photoshop Camera RAW plug-in. The Passport comes in a compact case holding a mini checker, white card, gray card, and special effects card including warming/cooling patches. GMG has released several new products and product updates. ColorServer Wide-Format brings high quality color output to wide and super-wide print applications. CMG Gets KPS Certified

The second Kodak Proofing Software (KPS) training class is now complete. Color Management Group (CMG) and Kodak continue to develop their partnership. built around compelling new technology from Kodak. Classes are held in Kodak's Rochester, NY training facility. Both September and November sessions were well attended and well received. CMG now has 13 consultants that are certified to sell, install and train this new RIP software. CMG at the 2009 Color Management Conference

CMG will be in Phoenix on December 6-8th for the 11th annual PIA (formerly GATF) Color Management Conference. This is the definitive printing industry event for color geeks of all shades and is a great place to learn about current information and practices on color management, process control, and print standards. New Product Spotlight - Elpical

The Color Management Group now offers Elpical products including Claro Premedia. Claro Premedia is a server based solution that automatically processes and optimizes images. Using Claro's unique Individual Image Analysis, the software analyzes several visual aspects of each image... then enhances the image for the highest-quality results (even images inside a PDF). Claro Premedia uses hot folders to automatically perform different tasks (intelligent ICC based Device and DeviceLink conversions), file routing and storage. The Elpical Claro Inspector for Photoshop allows side-by-side viewing of original and processed image versions. And, it can be seamlessly integrated into existing workflows via XML.
